Summary:
Ichimura Tetsunosuke, is desperate to join the Shinsengumi, so that he can become strong and avenge his father's death.

When he tries to enter he attracts the attention of one of the captains who agrees to test him. Ichimura, determined to win no matter what continues to get up time and again after being knocked down. Finally, he is told that to join the Shinsengumi, he must become like a demon, and is shown just how brutal they can be on one of their missions. Ichimura, shocked by what he sees, is still determined to join, even if it means becoming a demon himself.
