This is a short retelling of the original Shuffle! series. Each episode centerson one of the girls and tells of her relationship with our hero Rin. However, ifyou enjoyed the original series I don't recommend you watching this one.
If you have not seen the original this new series fails to develop thecharacters, both their lives and their feelings. For those that have seen theoriginal, the action skips way out of sequence. Example: in the firstepisodes of the new series you see actions that take place in the lastepisodes of the old series. Only they aren't identified as such. Halfwaythrough, Rin tells Asa that he loves her, but the following episodes havescenes from earlier episodes of the original. That was a main point ofthe old series. Now the new series continues by backtracking the action.
On the plus side there are a few added new scenes that would haveenhanced the original, and the last episode is completely new but againoddly placed. Everyone is on a pure fan service cruise aboard God-sama'syacht in the god world. But the action is as if Rin has not confessed to Asa.
I had high hopes that this series would continue the story of the first, butthose hopes were dashed.
