Neon Genesis Evangelion Review - AnimEast.com

This is an absolutely amazing anime if you like dark and philosophical ones. In other word, it is one messed up anime. The character development is gradual at first but picks up intensely at the second half of the series. The plot gets extremely complex at around 2/3 way and me and my friend couldn’t keep up reading the subs and digesting the information the same time so we kept rewinding it. There is one fact (a very disturbing one): the producer committed suicide after finishing the serie and the movie Editors note: this is not true. You can actually tell why from just seeing the anime. The ending has a lot to do with his view on the root and future of humanity and it might give you nightmares. The drawing is old now but after you get into the plotline it hardly matters at all.
This is NOT an anime for all ages, you have to have enough intelligence to understand what’s going on, kids that watch this without guidance might get weird ideas.
I would rank this anime as one of my top favorite animes, along with Love Hina(very different of course)
Thanks to Kai for sending this in.
