Mahoromatic is another anime with a good mixture of comedy and drama. There's really nothing cheerier than watching a cute anime about a couple going on a date, etc, to have the end of the episode flash up how long until the female lead dies. I really enjoyed season one of Mahoromatic and was really depressed by the end of seaoson two, but it was still a great series. If you want a mostly comedic, partly dramatic ecchi anime, then look no further. One side note, this anime does have some fairly adult content, so I wouldn't recommend it for all ages.
