I'm a big Love Hina fan, so I'll definately watch anything based on Ken Akamatsu's work. Negima is a very good anime, but I would recommend reading the manga first, as it is a good bit funnier.

The animation in Negima is excellent, although it looks a little bit washed out to me at times, but that's just the style. The seiyuu (voice talent) cast is long and impressive, and they do an excellent job of bringing the characters to life.
