Love Hina has been my favorite anime for a long time and it would take something very special to displace it as number one. I think this anime is the best in all of the various categories...animation, story, characters, music, and seiyuu. Its basically one of the most well done animes I've seen. Its generally light-hearted, though it does have its serious moments. Love Hina Again and the movies are also just as great so I highly recommend you see this if you haven't already.
