Proposal Daisakusen is the story of Iwase Ken who is attending the wedding of his childhood friend Rei when he realizes he lost out on the chance to be the one standing next to her. While watching a slide show he fervently wishes that he could go back in time to correct his mistakes, when a fairy shows up and tell him he can revisit the time that the picture was taken. This drama is right at the top of my list of favorite shows for many various reasons. The story is really interesting and not something that you see in every show. Since each episode is reliving a different picture from the slideshow, the story never gets too bogged down. The soundtrack really consists of two songs (both of which are frequently played on my ipod) but you can get a bit tired of hearing the theme song as it's played at the end of the show, during the show, and the instrumental version of it is played throughout the show...minor annoyance in an otherwise fantastic show. If you want a drama that's part comedy, part dramatic love story, with a little magic thrown in you should definitely watch Proposal Daisakusen. Also if you know someone that you think might want to get started on dramas, this is a good series to introduce them to the world of Japanese dramas.
