All in all this is a great anime and a great addition to the original Ai Yori Aoshi series. The creators use these 12 episodes to get you better acquainted with all of your favorite characters. Each episode delves a little deeper into the feelings and things motivating the main characters, and generally just rounds out the character development a little bit more. Its nice to see a sequel to something that doesn't cheapen or damage the original. The animation looks a little bit better than it did in the original series, this being an OVA they may have taken more care with it, and the work of the seiyuu is still excellent. Luckily they were able to get all of the same people to do the voices. The only thing I have to nitpick about this is that the characters don't actually appear to have aged at all, which is odd since two years have supposedly passed...but there again, why change a good character design? All in all, this continuation of Ai Yori Aoshi, when combined with the original series, make for an excellent series. I definately would not watch this without seeing the original 24 episodes first, but I guess that really goes without saying.

In sum, this is an excellent 12 episode OVA that you should definately check out if you're a fan of Ai Yori Aoshi. And if you haven't seen the original yet...what are you waiting for?
